Indian reporter receives 'Oscar' from tweeps for Biparjoy coverage

Mumbai: As cyclone Biparjoy approaches, news channels in India and Pakistan are working tirelessly to provide updates on the situation.

However, amidst the seriousness of the natural calamity, Twitter users have found amusement in an unexpected source the coverage provided by an Indian reporter.

In a segment about the cyclone, the reporter was seen holding an umbrella and pretending to be at the location where the cyclone had hit.

The visuals and animations used during the segment were misleading, as they were not of Cyclone Biparjoy but actually, Hurricane Ian, which struck the US state of Florida last year.

The video quickly went viral, catching the attention of Twitterati who wasted no time in mocking the "mastermind" behind the idea.

They humorously inquired about the reporter's well-being, considering she reported from an area supposedly affected by the cyclone.

This incident has sparked amusement and garnered attention on social media platforms, where users often find humor in unexpected situations.

While the cyclone is a serious matter, the lighthearted response on Twitter serves as a reminder of the power of online communities to bring levity to challenging times.
